Ophelia: The Musical!
March 30 2004--FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
"THIS PLAY IS HOT! HOT!! HOT!!!" - Joe Franklin, WOR at Bloomberg Radio
Star-Spangled Entertainment presents the world premiere of OPHELIA: THE MUSICAL! at the Common Basis Theatre this May.
OPHELIA takes you on the journey of three quirky sisters, a black cat, a wild red-haired woman, a flirty bisexual & a much-needed psychiatrist; all on a quest for Shakespeare's beloved character.
One gets to really know each character through hysterically funny song-a-logues written by Breindel and arranged by Audra White, like, "There Was This Guy…" and the lesbian love duet "Two Arms".
Star-Spangled Pictures & Entertainment is a brand new company founded by Harry Gross, Lisa Rosenberg, and Breindel Wood, with plays and movies in various stages of development, a casting division, and a concert fund-raising program which gives 50% of its proceeds to organizations helping people in need.
